Going beyond chatGPT: leveraging machine learning for your whole content strategy

Wednesday 20 March 2024, 12:15 - 13:45 UTC, Stage 1

There’s a lot of focus on generative AI to enhance content production, but how else might machine learning tools advance your approach to content strategy?

This session explores the vast potential of machine learning beyond just generative AI like ChatGPT, in advancing content strategy for professionals in content strategy, content design, and content marketing.

While generative AI has gained significant attention for enhancing content production, the session aims to unveil the broader spectrum of machine learning applications in content strategy. We'll especially delve into how we can use these tools to advance our approach to audience research and insights, and make those audience insights more accessible and usable to a whole organisation's community of content producers, not just a content team. And we'll explore how to build more sophisticated custom workflows in machine learning tools to assist with the content production lifecycle.

The focus will be on practical applications: how machine learning can analyse large datasets to uncover content trends, predict content performance, and personalise user experiences. We'll also discuss the ethical considerations and challenges in implementing these technologies.

In the tools section we'll focus in on how to use two tools - Dante and Mindstudio - to create custom AI assistants for your content work.

This session is designed to equip you with the knowledge to explore and utilise machine learning in your content strategy, going beyond the capabilities of tools like ChatGPT.

A tool to takeaway

In this session you will be provided with a tool finder template to help you identify the right machine learning tool for your project or challenge. Through the tools session, you’ll be introduced to a range of AI tools that you can use to transform your content approach right away and without any coding knowledge needed. We’ll also do a deeper dive into the use of Dante and Mindstudio for supporting your content workflows and communities of content creators.

This session will help you to…

  1. Discover new machine learning tools that you can apply right away to your content strategy work.

  2. Understand the importance of structured data, preparing your data, and working in structured content to fully benefit from machine learning tools.

  3. Know the ethical considerations and questions to be engaging with and how to plan a responsible approach to the use of AI tools.
